Epoxy resin is most popular resin flooring systems widely used in the industry. It is a thermoset material needing a time and temperature to cure.
Epoxy resins are very hard and bond fully to concrete providing excellent protection from impact, chemicals, wear, water ingress, oil and chemicals.
It is the most cost effective resin system on the market.
PMMA – synthetic resin also known as the acrylic or acrylic glass is classified as thermoplastic resin. MMA resin is highly customisable for precise industry needs including slip resistance, chemical and electrical resistance.
The distinguishing characteristic of the PMMA resin flooring is its incredibly fast application process. Hardening and curing is not affected by humidity or temperatures and can be achieved in less than one hour, resulting in minimal down time and full floor installations carried out over a weekend.
PMMA resins are usually more expensive than other resin solution, however they are often lasting longer and faster to install.
As other resin systems PU resin floors provide excellent resistance to impact, abrasion and most chemicals. However its most advantage is is resistance to extreme temperatures and direct heat exposure. The system is ideal for in front of ovens flooring where trolleys are left to cool in bakery, as well as freezer rooms.
Polyurethane resins are available in many different finishes and options. Its flexibility ensures excellent impact absorption.
Classified as thermoset resins, the PU resin floors takes much longer to cure than MMA and require longer down time when installing the system.
